Luck hasn't got a thing do with it 👊🏻. It was really rad to have the chance to work with Lucky Brand (@luckybrand) while I've been on this latest stint in LA. It's always the goal to get to work with well established/notable brands and Lucky has been on my wish list for awhile now. Thanks to my booker Francesca and No Ties Management (@notiesmgmt) for the opportunity. Editorial content specialist Calvin Seabrooks (@calvinseabrooks). Images by Grant Puckett (grantpuckettphoto) & Luke Austin (@lukeaustinphoto). Styling by (@rollandryan). Also thanks to the little kid who photo-bombed me in the laundromat 🤔.

1000 might be an exaggeration but it was definitely alot of steps lol. It was great to link up with Kara Nixon (@kbdawg) on this latest blog post. I met and shot with her for the first time in Miami during modeling season a couple years back. She used my apartment as a base camp while testing models all day and I made sure everyone was flush with an optimal-high level of caffine. Anyhow, we met up at Koffee Klatch in Laguna and made our way to 1000 Steps Beach to shoot this second blog post and catch up!
I will be linking the clothes in upcoming posts through Reward Style/Like To Know It for anyone interested in purchasing them but for now all shoes are Vans, sunglasses are Ray Ban and shorts by Scotch & Soda.
I recently connected with Justin Chen via Instagram after randomly putting up a "Hey photographers let's shoot" post. I was immediately drawn to his super clean work, great use of natural light and stellar retouching skills. After some brief planning we decided on a few pieces of clothing and I demanded that he be up early for a 6:30 A.M. pick-up (on a weekend) so we could capture that warm morning light near the ocean. We drove north along the Pacific Coast Highway from LA proper and eventually settled on Leo Carrillo State Beach. We knocked out the following images in about an hour or so and it turned out to be one of my favorite shoots/photo sets of recent years (despite putting my manhood at peril in the freezing cold Pacific Ocean). Thanks so much to Justin for his work on this and to Stark Mag for picking up the story!
